April Ross

April Ross has won more than one medal at the Olympics. Ross is among the few female players of beach volleyball who be able to do so. She is set to compete in Tokyo to compete for her third Olympic medal alongside Alix Klineman, a first-time Olympian. Ross's aim is to get her first Olympic Gold. The next opportunity she gets at age 39. Nevertheless she is confident that the top awards are at hand. Ross stated via NBC Boston: "If we perform our best and if we just play well, I think we could be able to win gold." It's also going to be an issue of luck. Ross was born on the 22nd of October, 1982. She was raised in Costa Mesa California where she lived with her parents and sister. Ross was a competitive athlete in a variety of sports while attending Newport Harbor High School. In addition to the indoor game, she also was a basketball player and also ran track in her pre-college days. She stood out however at this level. Based on her bio, she played a middle blocker and an outside hitting volleyball player throughout her time in high school. Gatorade Circle of Champions named her the National Player of 1999. Also, she won the award in 2000. Orange County Athlete of the Award for volleyball. While Ross Klineman and Ross are in the spotlight since the year 2017, Klineman was already a big-time participant on the beaches even before the pair formed. It's true that she has been able to win multiple events, one of which was with the legendary player of volleyball. Between 2007 and 2013 she played with Jennifer Kessy, who is now her coach. Along with Kessy, Ross won an Olympic Title in 2009 when she competed in the international circuit. The pair eventually picked up a silver medal in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Misty Maytreanor (Jennings) and Misty Maytreanor won gold, ahead of them. Ross Jennings was Walsh Jennings partner in fate after Maytreanor's retirement. They won the bronze medal in beach volleyball at Rio Olympics 2016. Following high school, and for a few years before she hit the beach as a professional Ross played for the USC Trojans as an NCAA. Ross's playing time with the Trojans was amazing. The year 2000 was her freshman year. was when she won the Pac-10 as well as NCAA Freshman's of the award and become an All-American. Her performance also assisted in helping the Trojans reach the Final Four. Her personal tragedy was a crushing loss in her sophomore season and yet she went on to repeat her place as an All-American. Over her final 2 years of participation in the Trojans team, she led the team to win a national championship each year. In her own way she established herself in the history books by winning the Honda Sports Award for 2003-04. This award was given to the best female volleyball players at colleges across the country. Ross was a major in the field of international relations in USC. Margie Ross was not able to see Ross achieve beach volleyball's top level. Ross lost her mom to cancer of the breast in the year 2001. Ross was then a sophomore. She continues to cherish her parents who passed away. Margie, on the beach as well as in everyday life, is still a source of inspiration for her.
