Arianna Huffington
Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington, a Greek American businesswoman and syndicated journalist, is also a writer. She was a co-founder of The Huffington Post the founder and CEO of Thrive Global and the author of 15 books. Arianna Huffington is an independent Liberal news site, is a television personality an author and charity donor. Her birthplace is Greece Arianna Huffington came to England together with her family around age 16. In Cambridge University she earned a MA qualification in Economics. Being the first non-English-speaking student to graduate, she was voted to the presidency of The Cambridge Union' at the age of 21. Following graduation, she left her impression as a conservative syndicated columnist and, with the advent of The Huffington Post' few years later, she developed a voice-based website that offered critical observations on the political scenario. She was able to get several notable contributors to post their opinions on culture and politics. Arianna was famous after she was elected as an independent candidate in a recall contest in California to replace the then-Governor Davis. She also headed the Detroit automobile project that was fuel efficient. In 2009 she was recognized by Forbes as one of the top women in media gaining 12th position in the ranking. In the same year, the Guardian placed her in their top 100 list of media. In 2011, AOL Inc. purchased The Huffington Post and made the president of that media division, which contained many then-existing AOL brands too, like Engadget AOL music Style list as well as Patch Media. Elli was the daughter of Konstantinos the journalist who was also a business consultant. She was extremely close to her father. It is her bond to her mother that formed her. In her early period, she displayed her leadership qualities for which are still in high demand. At 16 years of age she moved to the United Kingdom to pursue her education and was enrolled at Girton College Cambridge. She was a member of in the Cambridge Union college debate society during her time at college, where she was the third female to serve as president. She graduated in 1972 with an MA in Economics. In the years following the graduation ceremony, she worked as an anchor on television and a columnist. She also appeared in an episode of Face the music along with Bernard Levin and began writing books with editorial assistance from Bernard Levin.
